Goldberg
says 'nigger'By Mickey Sartre, News

July 22, 2008--Who likes
"nigger"? "Nigger" is ugly. It is best not to say, write, or
even think "nigger."
Whoopi Goldberg, however, thinks
"nigger" is cool. She said "nigger" over and over again last week on
The View. "Nigger" this and "nigger" that. Sherri
Shepherd, the other black woman on the show, someone I confess I had
never heard of before this whole "nigger" debate, called "nigger" a "term
of endearment" and said it is alright for her to say "nigger" but does not
want to hear "nigger" come from Barbara Walters' mouth.
"Nigger"--please!
Let's all stop using "nigger"!
For the record, Walters did not say
"nigger." Barbara Walters would never use "nigger."
Elizabeth Hasselbeck was excoriated
for saying no one should say "nigger." "Nigger" made her cry.
A week or two ago, the Rev. Jesse Jackson was
caught by a "hot" FOX News microphone saying Barack Obama has been
"telling niggers how to behave." This is what spawned The View's
"nigger" discussion. In short, Jackson caused the whole "nigger"
problem.
"Nigger" has the power to hurt.
"Nigger" polarizes, no matter who employs "nigger" for whatever purpose.
Goldberg claims "nigger" empowers blacks. "Nigger" empowers no
one. "Nigger" brings us all down. Let's move away
from "nigger." "Nigger" should be history.
